Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
A wage is something that you earn, a gift is something that someone else earns and gives to you. Christ paid the price for our salvation.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
That is in our natural state we do not measure up to God's standard. We miss the mark.
Romans 5:8 But Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and by this God showed how much he loves us.
You and I weren't born when Christ died, we, in this verse, refers to mankind. God did not say, "If you get right, I will save you," but He sent His Son while mankind was still in sin.
Romans 10:9-10 If you openly say, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved. Yes, we believe in Jesus deep in our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we openly say that we believe in him, and so we are saved.
To confess is to agree with. If you will agree with what the bible says concerning The Lord Jesus Christ, you to can be saved.
Romans 10:13 For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Whoever includes you. The word call has the idea of calling with a sense of depending on. If you recognize that you are a sinner (Romans 3:23) and that Jesus Christ is the only Savior, you are invited to call upon Him for Salvation.
Dear Lord Jesus, I come to you with a humble heart, acknowledging my mistakes and shortcomings. I sincerely ask for your forgiveness for my sins. Please enter my life and save me, guiding me to become the person you envision for me. I am truly grateful for your mercy and love in saving me. Amen.
