Welcome to Christway Baptist Church

Christway Baptist Church was organized November 29, 2020, with merging of Cornerstone and Midway Baptist Churches. This journey began in the hearts of the collective membership of each Church independent of the other. On June 14, 2020, during Midway's business meeting the question was raised: "What was God's purpose for our Church?" It was suggested that maybe we should explore the possibility of merging with another Church who was seeking God's will for their ministry also. June 22, 2020, letters were sent to 22 area churches, and we received two responses.

June 28, 2020, after receiving our letter on the 26th, Pastor Chris Ford read the letter to the Cornerstone family and all members present agreed that he should follow up to see where it would lead. After two meetings with the leaders of both Churches it was agreed that it appeared the Lord was leading us to continue. Therefore, both Churches met at the Cornerstone facility, during this meeting it was agreed that Chris and Time would exchange pulpits on November 22, 2020.

On November 29, 2020, we met jointly at Cornerstone and agreed to merge under the new name of Christway Baptist Church.
